“Goblin Slayer” Episode 6 sees the Goblin Slayer and his newfound team of adventurers going to a water city in order to fulfill a contract posted by the sword maiden. However, in the manga, this point of the story happens only after a major farm battle that features gruesome scenes of violence. Was this content cut from the anime because of its graphic nature or is it being saved for last?
As the first episode of this anime has shown, “Goblin Slayer” is not afraid to touch on sensitive issues in order to prove just how abhorrent the show’s main villains are. However, it would appear that even the animators of this series have thought better of showcasing the infamous farm battle in “Goblin Slayer” Episode 6.
Instead of showing the dreaded meat shield scene, “Goblin Slayer” Episode 6 will skip ahead and feature the story involving a goblin hunt under a city of water, GeekSnipper reports. This mission is on behalf of the sword maiden, who is one of the heroes who vanquished the demon king. It would appear that she too is a victim of goblin violence and has tasked the expert to exterminate the infestation in her city.
As OtakuKart notes, “Goblin Slayer” Episode 6 will also feature quite the contrast among the characters and Goblin Slayer. While the priestess and the rest of the gang are in awe of the sword maiden, the protagonist is his usual self by asking blunt questions.
Official information with regards to whether or not the animators decided to consciously cut the farm battle from the series has not been released. However, there are rumors about the scene being saved for last. Even though it was supposed to occur in “Goblin Slayer” Episode 6 or close to it, some fans are speculating that it the skirmish will instead be saved for the finale.
If this is the case, fans can watch “Goblin Slayer” Episode 6 when it airs on Nov. 10 with peace of mind. The most epic fight of the series could still make an appearance.
