With the show about to hit its 12th and final episode, a lot of fans are already asking if “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 is coming. Unfortunately for them, there has been no announcement on the matter. Considering just how popular the manga and anime have been, as well as the numerous side-stories that have been released, it would be unthinkable for a second season to not be produced. Is this really the end of the anime?
It should not be a surprise to a lot of anime lovers to find out that “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 might never come. After all, there have been a lot of amazing shows that never made it past 24 episodes. In fact, some of the most legendary animes only had one or two seasons to their names. This is why it would it be a surprise to learn that the second season of “Goblin Slayer” is never coming.
To be sure, there are still a lot of stories to be told with regards to the adventures of Orcbolg. There is currently a spin-off of the manga where the history of the adventurer is told. This is during his early years, long before he came across Priestess or any of the others in his current party. “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 could easily be about that, at least until the main story builds enough of a distance to provide content for the next adventures.
For now, though, fans will simply have to content themselves with the knowledge that the show is doing well enough to merit a possibility of a “Goblin Slayer” Season 2. If the animators start working on it right away, it should be done by 2020 or so. If not, there will be a lot of waiting to go on, so it’s best to enjoy other anime shows while waiting for “Goblin Slayer” to return.
