“Goblin Slayer” Season 2 will not be coming out soon and fans have turned to speculations what will occur in the second installment. Those who have read the manga and light novels have a pretty solid idea about the next plotline of the series.
According to Monsters and Critics, “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 will portray the Festival arc. This storyline revolves around the encounter between Orcbolg and Dark Elf, the new villain of the second installment. The story starts with the silver-ranked adventurer getting apprehensive about the decreasing contracts being posted regarding goblins.
His nervousness increased when he rescued a young woman that wasn’t tortured or raped by the goblins. As such, he started laying traps around Frontier Town. Meanwhile, Guild Girl and Cow Girl will start vying for the protagonist’s attention in “Goblin Slayer” Season 2. With no evidence and the lack of information to pursue his suspicions, Orcbolg agreed to the women’s request.
He took Cow Girl out during the morning, then went with Guild Girl in the afternoon. It was during his time with Guild Girl that he has received confirmation about the speculated threat. This came in the form of the disgraced scout that was previously punished by Guild Girl. In “Goblin Slayer” Season 2, the scout will try to assassinate Orcbolg.
Due to his speed, the adventurer decided to play possum and catch the scout off guard. The ruse worked perfectly. Before the scout finished off Orcbolg, he gloated over his supposed dead body and revealed that a large force of goblins is ready to attack Frontier Town. He also revealed that he was tasked to kill Orcbolg to sow chaos within the ranks of adventurers. After hearing this, Orcbolg gutted the scout and proceeded to gather his party to repeal the impending threat. It was then that the heroes saw that the goblins are being led by a dark elf. The villain will reveal in “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 that he means to use the town as a sacrifice to call upon an ancient titan that existed during the war of the gods.
This will be all the information offered in this article in order to not further spoil how the battle of Orcbolg and Dark Elf will conclude. As for when “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 will be released, White Fox still hasn’t announced anything yet. But if the studio’s reputation is anything to go by, then the series will probably return in late 2020 or early 2021.
