Following the news about the film “Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown,” the plotline for “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 has been narrowed down to exclude Noble Fencer’s story. As such, the Harvest Festival Arc, the Temple of Doom, and Wizard Boy’s adventures remain the most likely plot that the second installment might cover.
While the first two will provide a lot of satisfying and tension-inducing action scenes, it’s the last one that’s the most intriguing. This is due to the fact that Wizard Boy’s story closely resembles the mental scarring that Orcbolg went through when he was a child. Similar to most of the characters seen in the series, “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 will be introducing this new addition inside the walls of the Adventurer’s Guild, MonsterAndCritics reported.
Wizard Boy will be portrayed as a quick-tempered and ill-mannered upstart that also harbors a deep resentment towards goblins. This is due to the fact that her sister died at the hands of green-skinned monsters, the same fate that befell the older sibling of Orcbolg. Thus, Wizard Boy will be used by “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 as a means to highlight the broken nature of the titular protagonist and building his character further.
Aside from Orcbolg, Wizard Boy will also be interacting with Priestess. Their first meeting also takes place in the guild hall where he overhears the healer revealing she failed her promotions exam. Being the haughty individual that he is, Wizard Boy will ridicule Priestess in “Goblin Slayer” Season 2, earning the annoyance of seasoned veterans within earshot.
Female Knight will step in to put the young adventurer in his place, challenging him to go out and slay goblins with the assistance of Priestess. Wizard Boy accepted the challenge and went to a goblin-infested tomb to rescue a captured woman. While he quickly makes work of a goblin that’s been having its way with the captive, Wizard Boy will suddenly find himself cornered by a troll and its goblin minions. Fortunately, Orcbolg and the rest of the party arrives just in time to kill the threat. The party goes back to the town to celebrate where Wizard Boy will divulge his past after downing a few drinks. With regards to the release date of “Goblin Slayer” Season 2, White Fox has yet to announce anything. However, the safest bet at the moment is in 2020, perhaps in the last quarter of the year.
