Gordon Ramsay’s Street Burger restaurant is set to open by late March in the Hyundai Department Store in southern Seoul, which will be the brand’s first global location outside of the UK and the first in Asia.
Street Burger was founded in 2020 by the British Michelin-star celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.
The burger joint will offer fries, drinks, and seven types of burgers on the menu, including a Korean-special burger dubbed “The Korean Smash Burger,” which has kimchi and bacon.
Items on the menu will cost between 10,000 won to 20,000 won.
Global burger chains have been opening stores in South Korea as the dish gains popularity among young Koreans.
South Korea’s market for burgers had grown nearly 30 percent from 2015 to 2020 and is expected to reach five trillion won in 2023, according to data from Euro Monitor.
