Gwen Stefani and Miranda Lambert are seemingly being pitted against each other. The two women are linked because of Blake Shelton.
Years earlier, Shelton and Lambert were together. But shortly after they announced their divorce, the country singer crossed paths with Stefani on “The Voice.” The couple hit it off immediately, and they started dating each other shortly after.
Now, Shelton and Lambert have both moved on from their marriage. But it seems National Enquirer has not. The tabloid recently claimed that Lambert is jealous over the design of Stefani’s engagement ring because it is so much nicer than the ring that Shelton got for her.
“She’d never admit she admires anything about the woman who replaced her in Blake’s life, and now she’s doing everything she can to overshadow her,” an unnamed source told the tabloid.
The insider went on to say that Lambert and Stefani hired the same jewelry designer in Los Angeles to make sure that their accessories will look better than the other.
“What’s weird is, these outrageously expensive pieces are going out of fashion in Hollywood – but not for Gwen and Miranda. For them, showing off their new bling is a way to one-up the other! The flashier and more valuable it is the better,” the source said.
However, the rumor-debunking site Gossip Cop has denied the claims of the tabloid for very obvious reasons. Since Lambert has already moved on from Shelton a long time ago, it is unlikely that she even cares about what her ex-husband gives his current girlfriend.
It is also impossible for Lambert and Stefani to be competing over their engagement rings from Shelton because the No Doubt singer has not received one. After all, Shelton has not yet proposed to Stefani.
Earlier this month, Shelton laughed at the absurd engagement and wedding rumors surrounding his and Stefani’s relationship. When asked if the “Hollaback Girl” singer is still his girlfriend, Shelton gave a cryptic response.
“I haven’t read the magazines this morning, I don’t know what we are yet,” he told Entertainment Tonight.
