LAGUNA BEACH, Calif., April 20, 2017 -- The Healthcare Administrative Technology Association (HATA), the national association representing the practice management system (PMS) industry and other affiliated stakeholders, announced the topics covered at the association’s Spring Membership Meeting. Sponsored by AllMeds, the event was held April 12 in Atlanta, and served to update HATA members on strategic initiatives, initiate roundtable discussions, and lay the foundation for the association’s advocacy efforts in 2017.
“Last week’s meeting included intense debates about the challenges faced by today’s practice management system vendors,” said HATA Executive Director, Tim McMullen, JD, CAE. “Sessions tackled regulatory compliance, value-based care, ASC X12N, prior authorization, marketing strategies, physician engagement and the future of attachments. Investigation into these issues prepared our association for June’s advocacy efforts, which will provide our members with face-to-face access to CMS administrators and members of Congress. These meetings in Baltimore and Washington D.C. will allow HATA members to share their collective knowledge and voice relevant legislative and regulatory concerns.”
