Hailey Baldwin is considering her work as a model a second priority now. She has changed and placed more importance on her personal life after being engaged to Justin Bieber.
This means that her career has taken a backseat and she will only work if the project is something that she cannot really turn down or pass up. The 21-year-old supermodel is doing this sacrifice for her fiance, People reported.
After getting engaged, she wants to spend more time with her family and beau so she lessened her workload and is now choosy with her gigs. Hailey Baldwin recently attended the New York Fashion Week but she was there as a spectator rather than walking down the runway.
She was interviewed on the spot and was asked why she is rarely seen on the catwalk this season. Speaking to WWD, Hailey Baldwin explained, “I’ve tried to be really choosy with fashion week going forward, just because I want to have the time to spend being relaxed and being with family — and my fiancé.”
Most probably, Hailey Baldwin made this decision to cut back on her work after her uncle Alec Baldwin gave her advice. According to Justin Bieber’s soon-to-be wife, her uncle told her, "It's smart, and it's important. You have to always put family above work, no matter what."
Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber got engaged in July just after weeks of dating again. The latter proposed while they were on vacation in the Bahamas and they confirmed their engagement via social media. The singer posted a long heartfelt message and expressed how much he adores his fiancee.
Meanwhile, at the time of Hailey and Justin’s reconciliation, the “Love Yourself” singer just broke up with Selena Gomez, so her name was also dragged into the engagement news. Nevertheless, it appears that the former “Wizards of Waverly Place” actress is not affected by the news of her ex’s upcoming wedding.
