Lou Grover (Chi McBride) attempts to have a special Thanksgiving dinner with his family in “Hawaii Five-0” season 9 episode 8 but things are doomed with the arrival of his brother. Meanwhile, the team continues to work and will investigate another murder case.

“Hawaii Five-0” season 9 episode 8 will have several guests. Grover’s parents, Percy (Louis Gossett Jr.) and Ella (Gladys Knight), are arriving on the island to celebrate Thanksgiving with him. However, another visitor — his brother Percy, Jr. (Clifton Powell) — might make the holiday quite complicated.

Unfortunately, the family reunion will also reignite a “sibling rivalry” between Lou and the younger Percy in “Hawaii Five-0” season 9 episode 8. And taking the lid off a longtime brotherly competition during a special holiday will certainly be an interesting sight for the viewers. Considering the men’s ages, their feud is likely rooted in more serious events from their past.

Lou’s life and his previous career have always been a rich source of drama and stories for the show. CarterMatt suggests that the upcoming family reunion in “Hawaii Five-0” season 9 episode 8 will possibly give fans another chance to learn more new things about Lou.

Meanwhile, “Hawaii Five-0” season 9 episode 8 is written with the spirit of Thanksgiving in mind. So viewers can bet that everything will fall into the right place in the end for the Grover family.

As mentioned, Lou is at the center of “Hawaii Five-0” season 9 episode 8. Interestingly, the installment was also written by someone who knows the character of Lou very well — Chi McBride.

The police work does not end in “Hawaii Five-0” season 9 episode 8 as well. Their next murder case will be riddled with absurdity, though. A thief is crushed to death by an “empty safe” that he or she likely tried to rob. The Thanksgiving special airs on Friday, Nov. 16, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
