'Hawaii Five-O' Season 6 Episode 17 Recap: "Waiwai"

A lot of things have been going on in CBS’ hit TV series ‘Hawaii Five-0’ and the fans are more than excited to watch the stories unravel. If you have watched the recent episode then you know what where talking about, but if not then here is a recap of this week’s episode titled “Waiwai”.

On tonight’s episode as per the CBS synopsis, “Five-0 hunts a Russian spy who stole a flash drive containing classified NSA information that puts one of their own at risk. Meanwhile, McGarrett learns why Catherine left him; and Abby continues to conceal her actual mission from Chin and Five-0.”

Abby is in a tough position right now as she continues to spy on her friends without really knows what the real deal is all about. She was hired by a federal prosecutor named Robert Coughlin who was the brother of the late Rex Coughlin.

Apparently, Rex Coughlin also had a case with the Five-0, making it his life mission to take down Chin and the organization. Discovering this made Abby questioned if she could be on the wrong side of things and needed some reassurances before she could continue. So she called Robert to meet her in some secluded area. And there she asked what her real mission was.

Robert gave out vague answers which made Abby tell him to just pull her out, Robert did otherwise.

So Abby did have to continue to spy on her friends and while she hadn’t liked it – she paid close attention when they got their latest case. A young man that had allegedly walked into heavy traffic had been taken to the emergency room where both he and the medical team treating him were all executed by a young woman pretending to be his surgeon. Though truthfully she had knocked out the real surgeon and had gone into that operating room to steal a USB that the victim had implanted in his skin.

It turned out that the woman was a Russian spy who was after Tommy Luana. The team investigated the doctor and they discovered that Dr. Yang was the one who implanted the USB for a hefty price- in cash. He gave out information which allowed the team to track Tommy’s friend.
