In the United States alone, 50,000 patients die each year from preventable deaths in Intensive Care Units (ICUs). Our country’s healthcare system is currently short tens of thousands of intensivists, and the 65 years and older population is projected to increase by nearly 10 million in the next decade.
“Telemedicine has the potential to augment the shortage of intensivists by offering real-time remote coverage, yet, only 15% of all U.S. hospitals have deployed telemedicine in their ICUs,” said Yorktel Senior Vice President of Healthcare, Peter McLain.
Attendees will hear from industry experts on challenges and recent innovations that are poised to dramatically improve this outlook, and how to improve patient outcomes with telemedicine. Presenters will also address the historical challenges of telehealth adoption how to implement effective workflows for scalability.

Healthcare Informatics, Heather Landi, Associate Editor (Moderator)
