BURBANK, Calif., Feb. 10, 2017 -- Software-as-a-Service healthcare company Health Data Vision, Inc. has expanded its leadership team. Rita Young has been brought on board as Chief Operating Officer, making her the first woman to fill that role at the company and continues its trend of gender diversity. The company now boasts 33 percent female employees. Rita succeeds Michael Curran who has transitioned to VP of Quality/HEDIS® initiatives. Mike joined HDVI in 2013 with responsibility for operations. As he became increasingly involved in business development, he saw a need for dedicated leadership to drive Quality/HEDIS® initiatives, working with health plans to achieve measurable improvements in metrics, such as Star Ratings.
“The enhancement of technological solutions that manage the complex task of handling, accessing and analyzing medical records is a significant part of my career scope. I am thrilled to now be imparting my experience with the talented engineers, services reps, and clinical staff that have kept HDVI innovative and leading,” said Rita Young, COO.
Rita Young arrives at HDVI most recently from Altegra Health, which acquired Outcomes Health Information Solutions, and where she served for 15 years building a global operation that served demanding health plans.
“HDVI’s Board of Directors gave me a charter to scale the business, and in Rita Young we have a COO who has successfully scaled two companies in this space. We are excited to have her leading that charge on behalf of HDVI,” commented Jay Ackerman, CEO.
Mike Curran has worked in Managed Care for 25 years. He joined us from United Healthcare where he built a national HEDIS® reporting and improvement program. Prior, Mike was with the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) where he was involved in measure-specification development.
