Heidi Klum has revealed something about Drake. It seems that the “In My Feelings” rapper was interested in the 45-year-old supermodel but he was immediately turned down.
Klum appeared on the Sept. 11 episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and it was there that she admitted receiving a text from Drake. Apparently, he asked her out and he did it in a not-so-romantic way -- through SMS, Fox News reported.
This was not her first appearance on the show. She guested back in February and at that time, she played the “Who’d You Rather?” game. While playing, she chose Drake at least nine times, beating hunk celebrities like Brad Pitt and Jake Gyllenhaal, and that was when their love connection started.
Now, in her recent appearance on "Ellen," she seemed to suggest that she could have dated Drake if only he contacted her right after that show aired. If he had done it earlier, could he be her boyfriend now?
When Ellen asked her about Drake, Heidi Klum said, "You snooze you lose. He called, like, a week too late.” She added, “I don't remember when it was, and I didn't have his number; he didn't have my number. Someone who I know knows him and he asked to have my number and then he texted me. I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is so weird!”
But the "Project Runway" host divulged that she never sent a reply. When pushed to explain why, Heidi Klum simply said, “Because I found the love of my life.”
She was referring to her current boyfriend, Tom Kaulitz. She said that when she received Drake’s text, she also met Tom that day.
The model further explained that she was actually embarrassed about the text so she thought that it would be better for Drake not to say anything especially if he would ask her out. To put closure in what happened to them, Heidi faced the camera and apologized to the rapper, saying, "Drake, I’m sorry I didn’t text you back.”
Meanwhile, Heidi Klum did not deny that having a 17-year gap with her boyfriend is somehow difficult. In an interview with In Style, she opened up about the downside of dating someone younger.
“My boyfriend is many years younger than me, and lots of people are questioning that and asking about it,” she said. "That’s really the only time when age seems to be shoved in my face and I have to give an answer for it.”
Lastly, the model said that they are happy right now but they are not ready to get married yet. Tom and Heidi started dating six months after the latter broke up with 31-year-old Vito Schnabel.
