“High School Musical 4” is not happening anytime soon despite fans nagging Disney to create more films for the franchise. The light-hearted teen movie has captured the hearts of millions of fans around the world, particularly those who grew up in the early days of 2000s.
But even though this is the case, there are rumors out there claiming that Disney is, in fact, working on a “High School Musical 4” movie. There are even whispers out there saying that the characters have already been outlined. However, given that the company itself hasn’t announced anything, it’s best to take these claims with a grain of salt.
So who are these supposed characters? Apparently, “High School Musical 4” will include Erin, Derek, Campbell, Nathalie, and Tamara into its ensemble. While the rumors didn’t reveal who will play the abovementioned characters, it does provide descriptions of their personalities.
Erin is said to be the main female protagonist and is the only soccer player in the boys’ team. She’ll fall for Derek, a guy with a bad boy reputation but is actually a compassionate individual underneath. Campbell, on the other hand, will start chasing Erin but will be perturbed that the soccer player is pining after another guy. All three characters will form the love triangle that is allegedly one of the main plotlines of “High School Musical 4.”
Meanwhile, Natalie will act as Erin’s best friend as both navigate their way to the complicated life of high school. And lastly, Tamara is supposedly going to be the antagonist of “High School Musical 4” as she tries to climb the social ladder and attempt to regain her spot as the school’s queen bee.
Although these characters are promising enough, fans shouldn’t root for them just yet since Disney isn’t confirming anything. In fact, the noise being generated online about “High School Musical 4” is mostly caused by these rumors. Hopefully, Disney will release a statement soon that would provide some insight on whether or not they are indeed interested in producing a fourth movie for the beloved franchise.
