There have been bits of information leaked recently suggesting that the Honor Note 10 will have a 6GB random access memory (RAM) and Huawei’s Kirin 970 chip. Meanwhile, a teaser poster for the said device also surfaced online, possibly hinting that its launch is happening soon.
Honor is a Huawei-owned smartphone brand with products that are typically released in various regions outside China. The Honor Note 10 model is the brand's much-awaited release since it had been, technically, two years in the making.
A benchmark testing result done over the Geekbench tool on July 9 surfaced online recently. Same with many benchmark sheets that came out ahead of the device’s launch, this one also did not directly drop the name of the Honor Note 10. Instead, the unreleased hardware was named HUAWEI RVL-AL09. GSMArena reports that this is most likely referring to the Honor Note 10 since the upcoming device’s reported internal codename is “Ravel.”
The benchmarking sheet for the Honor Note 10 device indicates that it has 6GB RAM and will support Android Oreo 8.1.0 at the time of its retail release. The device codenamed HUAWEI RVL-AL09 also sports a CPU with eight cores and clocked at 1.84 GHz. These are the same specifications found on the Kirin 970 chipset on the Honor 10 released earlier this year.
In a leak reported by Android Headlines, the Honor Note 10 is rumored to have a 128GB internal storage. It is not clear if this is going to be the standard or only a configuration. But there is a great chance that it will be just one of the storage variants Huawei will offer.
People from Huawei have been openly discussing some details about the Honor Note 10 in the past month as well. The Honor’s official Weibo page also shared a poster recently confirming that the company will be skipping the Honor Note 9 branding. While there is no unveiling event announced yet, the amount of information leaks and official teasers surfacing online is a good indication that the Honor Note 10’s announcement is just around the corner.
