Half of the year 2019 is over, but fans have yet to hear about “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391. Aside from guessing when a new manga installment will be released, it is also still a mystery how many new chapters will be arriving this year.
Fans of the long-running manga series have probably learned by now that there is no constant formula to estimate the release date of new chapters. However, creator Yoshihiro Togashi closed 2018 with a promise that indicated “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391 and more new installment could be delivered within the following year.

Soon after chapter 390 was out in late November 2018, Togashi promised fans that they would continue working on the series. “The storyboards for the next ten chapters are already done, so I’ll get started again soon depending on various circumstances such as my health,” Togashi wrote in an issue of Shonen Jump last year. “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391 is certainly in the pipeline as of roughly six months ago, and so are nine more new chapters.
The same remark from Togashi has also sparked hopes that he could be delivering 20 new chapters in 2019 just like last year. That was the most number of new chapters released in a single year since 2011. However, considering that the hiatus continues to this day, there seems to be less chance of seeing that happen again. The best fans could hope for at this point is for Togashi to be able to release “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391 in 2019 along with the following nine other chapters he already mentioned.
“Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391 might still be elusive at this point, but the series is still making headlines in other ways. Bandai Namco announced the latest “Jump Force” DLC that will feature Biscuit Krueger as the newest fighter in the video game.
