BOSTON, March 22, 2017 -- DataXu today announced a major upgrade to its self-serve platform with a completely new campaign management user interface (UI), along with an independent user study awarding the platform the top score in usability. DataXu’s UI redesign is based on feedback from an exhaustive nine-month beta period, and features intuitive and efficient workflows that increase productivity for self-serve customers. The new upgrades represent an important milestone in DataXu’s strategy to expand its self-serve business, capitalizing on the growing market trend of agencies and brands taking programmatic media buying in-house.
Leading user experience (UX) research firm Validately conducted a head-to-head usability study of five industry-leading programmatic platforms, including DataXu. Per the study, DataXu ranked first in overall campaign management based on end user ratings of usability as compared to the other four platforms.
“DataXu has created an efficient and user-friendly UI and has become one of the best DSPs I have worked with,” said Olivia Jahn, Digital Media Buyer, Ansira. “The omnichannel capabilities have helped me to meet the complex KPIs for my clients’ campaigns.”
“Performance and ease of use are the ultimate goals for our self-serve customers utilizing the DataXu Platform,” said Aaron Kechley, SVP of Products and Marketing, DataXu. “And with the addition of this new workflow to DataXu’s industry-leading optimization, cross-device, and forecasting capabilities, buyers no longer need to choose between easy and powerful.”
"It is clear from the study results that DataXu has materially improved the user experience design of its product,” said Steven Cohn, Founder & CEO, Validately. “The impartial, and easy to understand report delivered by Validately's highly experienced User Research professionals, should provide comfort to advertisers and agencies that DataXu is providing a world-class user experience design."
With the redesign, DataXu users can now create and manage campaigns more efficiently than ever before within a modern and powerful single page application:
- Flexible and expansive campaign management, including all targeting settings, in one place for quick and easy setup and launch
- Built in time saving features so users can quickly create many flights with minimal clicks
- Batch edit functionality enabling users to customize or adjust flight targeting settings all at once
- Improved performance and increased system reliability
The new UI enhancements build on DataXu’s commitment to service on behalf of its self-serve customers like The Beamly Agency: “Working with the DataXu team, we know that we’re working with people that see our client objectives as their own, and our success as their success,” said Yulia Mullins, Senior Programmatic Manager, NA, The Beamly Agency. “The service is second to none, and we love working with a partner that embodies the spirit of The Beamly Agency.”
“Our self-serve customers have always been at the core of our success at DataXu,” said Ed Montes, CRO, DataXu. “With the rollout of the new user interface, we’re excited to expand our self-serve business by making DataXu the easiest to use platform, bar none.”
