BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 27, 2017 -- MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS 2017 -- The Internet of Things is rapidly moving away from the whiteboard and into real-world solutions, and InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDCC), a mobile technology research and development company, will showcase working solutions for key vertical industries at Mobile World Congress, the industry's premier conference, from February 27 - March 2, 2017, in Barcelona.
The company’s demos at MWC 2017 feature collaborations with key industry partners like global software leader CA Technologies, the consortium of companies behind the oneTRANSPORT™ initiative, and connected car and services leader Harman. Alongside partners, working solutions for the key energy/utilities, intelligent transport, smart building and smart city verticals will be highlighted, focusing on real business value that can be unlocked through IoT.
- Energy & Utilities: InterDigital and CA Technologies will demonstrate a Utilities Meter Management and Data Collection solution which helps Utilities to optimize IT infrastructure through reduced cost, rapid notification and repair and improve customer experience as well as create new revenue stream through data as a service.
- Intelligent Transport: The company will showcase the application of its IoT platform in the oneTRANSPORT™ initiative, one the largest to date smart city initiatives that enables transport data brokerage and innovative services covering numerous counties in the United Kingdom.
- Smart Building: The company will also show how its suite of IoT solutions work along with Entrust Datacard and HARMAN’s IoT Suite to provide automation and efficiencies to commercial real estate environments.
- Smart Cities: InterDigital will demonstrate how HARMAN’s IoT Suite and InterDigital’s platform, along with strong security and analytics services, enable innovative smart cities applications that include air quality monitoring and water and waste management.
