The “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 is a few episodes away from the finale, but it was recently confirmed that an anime-original story will be included in the next installment. However, the official preview also suggests the episode will include some scenes that were part of the canon light novel series.
Lina leaves Japan; Tatsuya and Miyuki’s friends graduate from First High
Last week’s episode pretty much wrapped up Tatsuya and the others’ mission against the Parasites. It also brings the anime adaptation’s story closer to the end of the light novel’s volume 11, which is also the last part of the Visitor Arc. That means there will be some goodbyes in “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 episode 11 as some of Tatsuya’s friends graduate from First High.
Based on what happened in the light novel, “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 episode 11 should feature scenes that will reveal Mayumi, Ichihara, and Juumonji are heading to the Magic University after graduation while Mari is going to attend the Defence College. Kobayakawa will also recognize Tatsuya’s help in making her realize her potential as a member of the military.

The official preview shared by the anime’s official Twitter page also shows Shizuku arriving at the airport as she comes back to Japan in “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 episode 11. This also means Tatsuya and Miyuki will be saying their goodbyes to Lina, who is returning to the USNA on the same day.
‘Irregular at Magic High School’ season 2 episode 11’s second part is an anime-original story
The anime’s social media page also announced that the second part of “Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 episode 11 will focus on a story that was not included in the light novel. While this could be categorized as a filler, fans should still look forward to it with excitement as the story was written by the creator of the series, Tsutomu Sato.
