Italian industrial producer price index falls sequentially in May

The Italian industrial producer price index dropped on sequential basis in May. The index fell 0.3 percent month-on-month, showed Istat. The index of producer price dropped 0.4 percent on domestic market and it fell 0.1 percent on non-domestic market.

The percentage change of the average of the last three months compared to the earlier three months rose 0.4 percent. On a year-on-year basis, the index was up 2.8 percent, while the index on domestic market was up 3.1 percent and it rose 1.7 percent on non-domestic market.

The total services producer price index in the first quarter of 2017 dropped 0.6 percent on a quarter-on-quarter basis, and it fell 0.3 percent when compared with the same quarter of 2016.
