Italian producer price index remains unchanged sequentially in July

Italy’s industrial producer price index remained the same on a sequential basis in July. Domestic producer price index stayed unchanged, while producer price index on non-domestic market rose 0.1 percent. The percentage change of the average of the last three months with respect to the previous three months decreased 0.9 percent.

The industrial producer price index dropped 0.5 percent year-on-year. The construction producer prices index rose 0.8 percent sequentially, whereas it dropped 0.3 percent on a year-on-year basis. The average of the last three months with respect to the previous three month of the construction producer prices index rose 0.5 percent.

Meanwhile, the total services producer price index rose 0.2 percent in the second quarter on a quarter-on-quarter basis, and rose 1.4 percent on a year-on-year basis. Sea and coastal water transport contributed the most to the upward movement while telecommunications provided the largest downward one.
