Through a long standing relationship with Cisco, Itential has built robust integration with the Network Services Orchestror (NSO) ecosystem supporting complex customer automation programs. This approach utilizes NSO capabilities built around NETCONF/YANG and market-leading orchestration capabilities.
According to Chris Wade, CTO of Itential, “The adoption of orchestration is key to supporting an API & model-first automation strategy. Itential is focused on driving automation capabilities utilizing programmable network concepts and NSO as a foundational orchestration platform.”
A key benefit of selection to the SolutionsPlus Program is the tighter integration of the Itential development team to Cisco APIs and availability of Cisco labs to test and certify its products as Cisco Compatible.
Itential’s flagship product, Pronghorn, will also be available to purchase through Cisco, and approved Cisco Partners, as part of an integrated solution with NSO. Initial Pronghorn applications available include:
- Service Lifecycle Management – Uses Service Model & YANG definitions to provide Operational and Workflow capabilities supporting Order & Lifecycle Management.
- Maintenance Automation – Extend automation capabilities to traditional manual and scripted maintenance activities while using the transactional capabilities of NSO.
- Golden Config and Compliance – Remove reconciliation by using NSO with configuration rules to maintain network state and validation.
According to Itential CEO Ian Bresnahan, “The demand for network automation continues to show strong growth. The selection to the Cisco SolutionsPlus program further strengthens our relationship and allows Itential to work within the Cisco ecosystem and accelerate adoption.”
“Network automation is essential to help drive digital business transformation as the industry moves towards cloud, IoT, and 5G,” said Kip Compton, VP of Cisco Cloud Platform and Solutions, Cisco. “Itential’s integration with Cisco NSO and membership in Cisco’s SolutionPlus program support advanced network capabilities and accelerate the adoption of network automation.”
A webcast session on “Fast Tracking Network Automation – Leveraging Itential Pronghorn and Cisco NSO for Simplified Automation” will be hosted on October 3, 2017. Please click here to register.
