“Jeepers Creepers 4” was already announced to be in the works as early as 2017. It was not an official announcement but was revealed by one of its lead actors. According to Gina Philips, the movie series’ director Victor Silva has plans for the next film after the release of the third.
The news about the plans for “Jeepers Creepers 4” came just a few months prior to the premiere of the third sequel. Since then, fans have been anticipating the next story but almost two years have passed, and there is no clear update yet from its producers.
Although there is no official confirmation for “Jeepers Creepers 4,” it is surely coming as Gina Philips who plays Trish Jenner in the movie already told via an interview with Diabolique that she will still be in the fourth next installment. Moreover, she revealed some details about the project like they will be showing flashbacks because this is needed to explain how some situations resulted in a scene happening in the present time.
“Victor has written what happens from the second after the conclusion of Jeepers Creepers 3,” Philips revealed. “I got to see what will eventually happen to the character and he put enough flashbacks in there that I got to see what happened to her over the last 15 years.”
The actress further disclosed that “Jeepers Creepers 4” will show many changes in Trish’s life, and this will play a big part in the direction of the plot. “There's more to come and a lot has changed for Trish over the years. She's a mother; she's been through a lot."
Nevertheless, “Jeepers Creepers 4” is coming, but everyone must wait for new updates to see if something has changed in its production. It should be noted that rather being canceled the film is only delayed.
Finally, once “Jeepers Creepers 4” begins filming this year, there is a possibility for a 2020 release date. Early 2021 is also likely if the shoot will begin in the second half of this year.
