The magazine wrote that the 51-year-old and Nancy did not contact each other for nine years due to their rift. The actress was said to have gotten angry when her mother published a memoir that details about their relationship.
The book titled “From Mother and Daughter to Friends: A Memoir” was published in 1999, and Nancy talked about her misunderstanding and estrangement from her daughter since becoming famous. At that time, she said that it has been three years since they last spoke with each other.
