Jio Platforms is positioning its telecom technology for sales in selected overseas markets while its latest results showed higher revenue per user, giving the Indian company another growth channel alongside mobile plans.

Reliance Industries' FY 2025-26 annual report describes a managed-services model for Jio in selected international markets, with local operators as partners. The listed offerings include a cloud-native radio access network, a 5G core and OSS/BSS platforms, UBR-based fixed wireless access, JioBharat and JioTV+ products, and set-top boxes. Jio's Oct. 30 results presentation also identified international use of its technology, customer growth and digital services as growth areas.

Mint reported that managing director Akash Ambani said Jio was seeking 10 to 15 overseas partners with sufficient scale across developed and developing markets. Mint also reported that Ambani said tariff increases would not be Jio's only growth lever. Both details were reported by Mint; the company's annual report describes the overseas model but does not give a partner target.

For the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2026, Jio reported average revenue per user (ARPU) of ₹218.8 a month, up 3.5% year over year. Revenue from operations rose 11.4% to ₹40,475 crore (₹404.75 billion), while profit after tax increased 13.7% to ₹8,387 crore. Jio's September-quarter subscriber and ARPU results also showed 542.4 million customers, including 300 million 5G customers. Monthly data use averaged 44.2 GB per customer, about 14% above the year-earlier level.

Jio's official announcement said revised mobile plans took effect July 3, 2024. Its Oct. 30 results presentation provided no date or amount for a future tariff change.
