John Shlonsky Named CEO of West Corporation

OMAHA, Neb., Nov. 06, 2017 -- West Corporation (“West” or the “Company”) today announced the appointment of John Shlonsky as chief executive officer and director of West effective immediately. Mr. Shlonsky succeeds Thomas Barker who will retire from West after 26 years of service. Mr. Barker will continue to consult for West to facilitate the transition.

John Shlonsky’s career spans more than 25 years in the payments, technology and financial services industries. Most recently, Mr. Shlonsky was senior executive vice president of TSYS (NYSE:TSS) and president of TSYS’ Merchant Services segment. Mr. Shlonsky joined TSYS in 2016 as a result of the company’s acquisition of TransFirst, where he was chief executive officer and president from 2006 to 2015. Prior to joining TransFirst, Mr. Shlonsky spent 11 years at First Data Corporation in various senior management positions including president of Merchant Services and has also served in financial management roles within Smith Barney, Chadbourne & Parke and Grumman Data Systems.
