Jungkook had always said that he is a fan of Ariana Grande so when he got the chance to meet her, he was all praises for the Grammy-awardee American singer. And it did not end with a simple greeting either as he and the singer even became friends.
The BTS' maknae was able to meet Grande when he attended her concert in May in Los Angeles. The two took photos together after the concert, and it was said that the “No Tears Left to Cry” singer even changed her lock screen image to the photo she took with Jungkook.
Jungkook expressed his admiration for Ariana Grande
Hours after their very first meeting, Jungkook shared on social media how his meeting with Grande went. He said that he was so happy to meet his favorite singer finally and revealed that he was so inspired after that encounter.
The BTS member revealed that Grande inspired him to be a better performer. He stressed how he learned a lot by just watching her on stage and promised that he would work harder to become like her as a performer.
Fans said that being a superstar himself, he is being so humble when he said that he would strive to do better as he was encouraged and inspired by the petite singer. In his recent interview with the Japanese magazine called Anan, he shared that it was really an honor to meet his idol.
"The more I watch other artists’ performances, the more I want to do on stage," Jungkook told the magazine via Elite Daily. "It’s an honor to be able to enjoy while receiving inspiration and stimulation."
How Jungkook and Ariana became friends
Jungkook narrated that they became friends fast. When they both performed at the 2019 Billboard Awards, all of them were preparing backstage then Ariana called him to say “Let’s do it together,” and those words simply let him in in her circle. Now, they also follow each other on social media and interact when there is time.
Meanwhile, Jungkook and the rest of the BTS team is still on their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” world tour. They will resume performances this month and would visit Asian countries this time.
