Jungkook appears to be taking his big brother role seriously when he recently gave another encouraging message to Big Hit Entertainment’s TXT. The gesture has been featured in the quintet’s reality show “ONE DREAM.TXT.”
The group is currently in North America for their showcase tour, and their energy has been reignited by Jungkook after he sent them a short but heartfelt post-it note. But the message wasn’t apparent at first as it came with other messages from fans, plastered on the wall of their hotel room.
Taehyun was the one who first noticed the message, which read “Good luck! From Jungkook hyung.” The group’s first thought was that it was only a fan who just so happen to be sharing the same name as Jungkook, Soompi reported.
Jungkook’s message electrifies TXT
But after the staff confirmed that it is indeed from the BTS’ youngest member, they were equal parts shock and ecstatic. Simple as the gesture was, Huening Kai said that they’re deeply grateful and delighted that Jungkook would take some time off from his busy schedule to send them a thoughtful message.
Yeonjun, on the other hand, was electrified by the message – a much-needed boost since touring internationally is one grueling marathon. Meanwhile, Beomgyu took the message and used it as motivational fuel to ready the group for their next performance. This isn’t the first time that Jungkook made TXT feel special.
Jungkook and his maknae title
Back in March, the 21-year-old acknowledged TXT as his junior, essentially relinquishing the maknae title that he previously enjoyed. For the unaware, maknae is a Korean word that is reserved for the youngest member of the group. Before TXT arrived in the scene, Jungkook was the maknae of Big Hit Entertainment and fans of BTS.
But by acknowledging that he is TXT’s hyung – or big brother – the maknae title has been passed down to the younger guys. But it isn’t just Jungkook’s gesture that is currently going viral. The pop sensation recently took parts of the Twitter-verse by storm when photos of him wearing hoop earrings started circulating online, Seventeen reported.
Jungkook’s ear piercing is new; that’s why fans are losing their mind over the matter. As for BTS itself, the group’s global popularity is only growing stronger as evidenced by their concert tickets selling like pancakes around the world.
