According to 7News.com, KFC Australia has collaborated with an Australian duo band, Peking Duk, to create the exclusive and world’s first Peking Cluk Burger. The new menu was made with KFC’s signature original chicken fillet recipe, and it was coated with hoisin glaze sauce, and dry slaw dressing is added to complete the sandwich.
It was reported that the KFC Australia and Peking Duk’s team-up was also formed to help celebrate the DJ’s new single titled “Honest.” The Aussie electronic music duo is consists of disc jockeys and music producers - Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles, and they will be headlining this year’s KFC Feastival that will be held on Sunday, March 13 at the Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour.
This is a music festival organized by the fried chicken fast-food brand in an effort to bring back these kinds of events that have been declining in recent years. Along with the Peking Duk band, Thandi Phoenix and Baker Boy are also performing.
Now, KFC Australia’s new Peking Cluk Burger will be given away for free to those who will be at the KFC Feastival. It is an exclusive offer and the sandwich will only be available in this location.
The burger has been described as a pancake-flavored burger and fans can have them all day without spending a dollar during the show.
“We are cluckin’ stoked to be teaming up with KFC to pair together two of our favorite things; good tunes and good food,” Peking Duk told 7NEWS.com.au. “As lovers of the fried gold, working with KFC to create our own burger really is the dream, plus we can’t wait to play our music for you while you’re eating the burger - the perfect score to the perfect meal at Cockatoo Island.”
KFC Australia chief marketing officer, Kristi Woolrych, also said, “We’re proud to partner with such amazing talent not only on an incredible gig but to be able to launch the first artist collaboration product in Australia,”
Meanwhile, The Daily Mail reported that fans can buy tickets for the music festival to get a taste of this unique burger that will not be sold in KFC Australia restaurants.
