Major South Korean telecom operator KT Corp. has partnered with Yandex Self-Driving Group to jointly develop an autonomous delivery robot.
KT and Yandex Self-Driving Group, an affiliate of Russian tech giant Yandex inked an agreement in Moscow to roll out the autonomous delivery robot within this year and cooperate in developing new AI robot solutions.
The two companies will also set up a task force for collaborating in other information and communication technology projects.
Yandex SDG focuses on self-driving vehicles and began testing prototypes in 2017 before launching a fully autonomous taxi service in Russia in 2018.
