‘Kaguya-sama: Love Is War’ season 2 release date, spoilers: How Kaguya discreetly plans for Miyuki’s birthday party

Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane’s mind games will continue in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2. They both insist on avoiding to show any signs of affection making things more complicated than they should be.

A good example that could be featured in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 is Miyuki’s upcoming birthday. Kaguya, obviously, knows when this is happening. However, because of the war they got going, she cannot just ask him about his birthday plans and openly tell him she wants to celebrate it with him.

Based on the manga chapters yet to be covered in the anime, one of the earlier episodes of “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 could tackle Miyuki’s birthday. Kaguya already has it written down on her planner, but she cannot let Miyuki know that she has been waiting for it and wants to throw him a party. At this point, his birthday is happening in four days.

Luckily for the student council vice president, Chika Fujiwara appears with a fortune-telling mobile app that needs a person’s gender and birthday. Kaguya finds a way to make other people push for a birthday party for Miyuki in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2. But things would get more complicated when Miyuki strongly declines to say when his birthday is.

Kaguya will be puzzled why he is against it because she deduces Miyuki believes in luck, so believing in fortune-telling should not be strange for him. It turns out, Miyuki already used the same mobile app that also tests the compatibility of two persons. He and Kaguya only match for 50 percent, and Miyuki does not want her to see this.

Kaguya will eventually (and incorrectly) assume that Miyuki does not want to use the mobile app because he does not want others to know when it is happening so he could celebrate it alone with her. With that, Kaguya decides to proceed with planning a party for him in “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2.

The series is one of the new titles in the anime industry this year. After persistent demands from fans, “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” season 2 was finally confirmed last October. Many are already expecting the new episodes in 2020, but it should be noted that the producers have yet to announce its release date window.
