Following Kate Middleton’s appointment to the Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order last April, the Duchess of Cambridge recently worn the blue, red and white sash representing the rank. This is the first time that the 37-year-old has donned the sash as the royal family honors the visitation of U.S. president Donald Trump, PEOPLE reported.
Apart from the sash, Kate Middleton was also seen again wearing the Lover’s Knot Tiara. The headpiece holds a lot of history for the royals and is a replica of an earlier diadem. Part of the reason why the tiara is attracting a lot of attention is because it was a particular favorite by the late Princess Diana.
As the mother of Prince William, Kate Middleton appears to hold a special regard for the circlet and has also become one of her go-to headpieces whenever there’s a significant event occurs. According to Town&Country, the Lover’s Knot Tiara hasn’t been seen publicly for years following Princess Diana’s death in 1997.
It was only in 2015 that the headpiece was seen again, this time worn by Kate Middleton, Diana’s daughter-in-law. Since then, the Lover’s Knot Tiara can often be seen adorning the head of the Duchess of Cambridge.
The last time that the circlet was worn by the 37-year-old was back in October. To date, Kate Middleton has been seen wearing the diadem four times. As for the state banquet, Donald Trump and Queen Elizabeth both spoke about the deep history and connection between the U.S. and the U.K. Both leaders highlighted the two country’s sacrifice in World War II and how the fires of conflict forged the strong bond of both nations.
Meanwhile, on the gossip side of things, Kate Middleton is supposedly planning to have a fourth child. The Duchess of Cambridge has caught the baby fever after Meghan Markle delivered her first child last month, Business Times reported. Of course, since there’s no indication that Middleton is preparing for another child, it’s best to take this claim with a grain of salt.
