Kate Middleton has something that Princess Diana has been longing for, and this was revealed after the Princess of Wales has died. Both of them married a prince, but the latter was younger when she tied the knot with Prince Charles at just 20 years old. They have similarities but have a stark difference with regards to how they lived as part of the royal family.
Middleton married Prince William after being in a relationship with him for around eight years while in contrast, Princess Di barely knew Prince Charles when she agreed to their engagement and eventually married in 1981. It is believed that they started to date sometime in 1978, but still, they have not known each other well and this fact might have contributed to their separation in 1994.
Before their separation, there are moments when they look like a happy couple, especially after they had their sons - Prince William and Prince Harry. But according to Express, Di was hoping to have a daughter and having one means everything to her. But unfortunately, this wish never happened, but Kate Middleton did after giving birth to Princess Charlotte in 2015.
"To have another baby girl in the family would have made everything for Diana, former royal butler Paul Burrell, said in the documentary titled “The Diana Story.” "She was robbed of the opportunity of loving her grandchildren, especially Charlotte, and she would have loved Kate too."
Aside from not having a daughter, the Prince of Wales was also deprived of love inside the palace, unlike Kate Middleton. Charles loved another woman, and Di never got to experienced such husbandly love from her spouse while the Duchess of Cambridge received much love from Prince William.
In the documentary, Burrell went on to say that Princess Diana wants the love and support of the Royal family, but she did not get this when she was still the Princess of Wales. “Kate Middleton is a very lucky woman because she has something which Diana never had, the former butler said. “With that strength behind her, she can go the distance. She can go all the way. She doesn’t need anything else.”
