Seeing reports about Kate Middleton being pregnant with their fourth baby has become almost a daily occurrence. However, there is a noticeable change in the stories being published about the Duchess of Cambridge more recently. It is now being rumored that her relationship with Queen Elizabeth II is no longer as close as before.

Kate Middleton’s relationship with Queen Elizabeth II doomed to go cold?

In the public eye, it is always interesting to learn how the people marrying into the British royal family would get along with Queen Elizabeth II. While Kate has been officially part of the family for almost a decade now, there are claims that she does have a close relationship with Her Majesty.

Majesty Magazine editor-in-chief and royal expert Ingrid Seward recently shared insights about what is going on between the Queen and the Duchess of Cambridge. Seward claimed that they have more of a working relationship than an intimate one.

Seward explained that Kate simply does not share the same interests as Queen Elizabeth II. The prominent British royal family writer added that Her Majesty actually “admires” Prince William’s wife “tremendously.” But because of their official work and their family is purportedly the only things they have in common, their relationship tends to be more on the serious side.

Before fans’ imagination run wild, this is not caused by a feud. Seward said, “Kate holds all the Queen’s hope for the future, and she would not want to do anything to upset that.” On the other hand, Her Majesty is reportedly more drawn to Meghan Markle because they both love dogs and the former actress can make the Queen laugh.

Kate Middleton: What happens once Prince William takes over the throne?

The royals might never take the time to address such reports, so fans will only have to take cues from photos of Kate and the Queen together. Whatever type of relationship they have, Kate would surely benefit from spending plenty of time with Queen Elizabeth II.

Kate’s husband, Prince William, is second in the line of succession to the British throne after his father, Prince Charles. Once Prince William becomes King, Kate will then assume the role of Queen Consort.
