Katie Holmes is one of the celebrities who clearly love to walk around New York City. She was spotted rocking a casual look on Monday after picking up her lunch at a restaurant.

The 39-year-old “Dawson’s Creek” alum donned a laid-back ensemble, as seen in photos published by Just Jared. But she still managed to rock her look that consisted of ripped jeans, a plain blue shirt, a pair of gold jewelry, sunglasses, and a beige purse over her shoulder.

Amid being stormed by many photographers, Holmes seemed to not be bothered and continued to walk around New York City instead of getting a personal driver. Earlier this month, she was reportedly going to a meeting with her pair of high heels in her hands. She swapped them for a pair of sliders, which are obviously more stroll-friendly. Holmes has also been spotted a couple of times riding the subway by herself.

Despite her normal daily life in New York with daughter Suri, Holmes has been the subject of countless rumors regarding her ex-husband, Tom Cruise, and current boyfriend, Jamie Foxx. Recently, there were rumors that Cruise suddenly petitioned to claim custody of their daughter. However, there is still no hard evidence emerging to prove this rumor.

Meanwhile, neither Holmes nor Foxx has addressed reports about the real score of their relationship. However, the photos of them having a PDA-packed date at a Malibu beach is an obvious confirmation that the two are dating.

Unfortunately, Holmes and Foxx have repeatedly been subjected to breakup rumors caused by unflattering incidents. For one, Holmes is allegedly finding it difficult to trust the new man in his life, leading to their breakup. This claim has since been debunked by her rep, who told PEOPLE, “The Radar story is 100 percent untrue.”

Meanwhile, a source of Entertainment Tonight said the couple is used to spending time apart probably because Holmes is often in New York while Foxx is in California. “It’s not uncommon for them to go long stretches without seeing each other. And they’re still very, very private. You’re not going to hear or see every time they’re together because they don’t flaunt their relationship in public,” the insider said.
