Fans will have a hard time tracking when Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx officially started dating. The reported couple has been maintaining a low-key relationship after recurring rumors of them dating since 2013.
Neither Holmes nor Foxx has openly discussed the real status of their relationship. But a source of PEOPLE recently implied they have been together “for years.” It also seems like Holmes and Foxx do not put too much pressure on themselves when it comes to being together amid their busy work schedules. The insider said, “When they can spend time together, they do. When they’re busy and they can’t, they don’t. They are two adults who enjoy each other’s company and have for a long time.”
Another source told the same publication that Foxx and Holmes have many things in common, especially being “great parents.” The informant added that the Hollywood actors know when to “give each other space” while also being “dedicated to their careers.” But they purportedly make sure to “see each other as frequently as they can.”
These reports would reassure fans of Foxx and Holmes that everything is going fine in their relationship especially since breakup rumors started to fly in the previous months. Another indication that they have not called it quits is they welcomed the start of spring together in New York. They were photographed together while walking around the city as they pass by the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Central Park.
As mentioned, reports linking Foxx and Holmes first came out in 2013 but they have either been mum or directly denied these claims. There were speculations that they cannot come out publicly as dating because Holmes’ divorce from Tom Cruise allegedly included a provision prohibiting her from publicly dating for a certain number of years after the separation.
However, the secrecy started to loosen up after a photo of Holmes and Foxx was published in 2017 where they can be seen holding hands at a beach in Malibu. Since then, they have been spotted in several public outings together in New York, California, and their filming locations.
