Katie Holmes running out of cash; Suri Cruise’s mom reportedly broke after ‘living beyond her means’

Katie Holmes is allegedly going broke as her bank account is drying up already. Suri Cruise’s mom is said to be facing serious financial trouble just weeks after being reported to be dating someone new who turned out to be Jennifer Aniston’s ex-hubby Justin Theroux.

Why Katie is going broke?

Based on the report that appeared on Star Magazine, the “Dawson’s Creek” star continues to spend when she can’t afford it. In other words, it was claimed that Holmes is living in luxury but it is beyond her means so her money is running out.

A source revealed that she only buys and wears expensive clothes plus she has to pay for Suri’s education amounting to around $56,000 while her apartment in New York costs about $25,000 for monthly rental. She earns money through her gigs but those were spent as soon as she received them.

The problem is - she is not getting projects lately so she may lose some paychecks that she needed to afford her luxurious way of life. Endorsement deals are not coming her way like before as well so she is almost broke already.

“The talk is she’s pulling in $20K for red carpet events and she wants to do a lot more,” the insider told Star. “She heard Kim Kardashian gets $100K just to show up to a Vegas nightclub and she’s eager to get in on that too. Her paychecks don’t match her ambition.”

Selling assets to cope with her financial difficulties?

The news that Katie Holmes is going broke heightened when it was reported that she is selling her home in Calabasas, California. The actress is said to have put her six-bedroom property up for sale for $4.6 million. The European manor-style mansion that measures 6,040 square feet was built in 2007 and she bought it in 2014, two years after she and Tom Cruise divorced.

It was added that aside from this, Holmes already sold her other mansion in Los Angeles for $6 million since she badly needed cash. “She hasn’t had a hit movie since Batman Begins,” the so-called source told another tabloid NW magazine. “Since then, it’s just cheesy C-grade films and failed TV shows.”

Katie’s real situation

To confirm whether this story is true or not, Gossip Cop contacted Katie Holme’s camp to get some comments. Her representative denied the rumors and explained that the reason why the actress sole her home was because she isn’t using it anymore.

She and her daughter Suri live in New York where the teenager also attends school. Moreover, Katie doesn’t have to worry about Suri’s schooling because Tom Cruise is paying it as part of his child support that amounts to $400,000 per year.
