It seems that Katy Perry has taken a dig at Justin Bieber’s hair in her recent post on Instagram. A photo of what appeared to be the "Love Yourself" singer eating a burrito from the middle went viral last week, but Justin’s manager Scooter Braun has admitted that it was actually an elaborate prank concocted by YouTuber group Yes Theory with the help of Bieber look-alike Brad Sousa.
Well, Katy didn’t fall for the prank, and she left a rather shady comment on Braun’s post. Apparently, Katy didn’t believe it was Justin because the guy’s hair was clean. Now that is hilarious.
The "Sorry” singer’s mop hairstyle does look chaotic at times and he tends to flip his hair to keep it out of his face, which can be annoying. Interestingly, Justin Bieber just cut off his hair. That’s right, the signature mop is gone, replaced by a buzz cut. Of course, Justin probably didn’t do this to please Katy and a lot of his fans worldwide. In fact, some will say that he just did this on a whim.
“I suppose his choosing a buzz cut mere days before daylight saving time pitches this country into early darkness does take opposite tack of common hair wisdom, which is: longer for winter; shorter for summer. So there is an obstinance there, a willingness to go against the grain, hair-wise and maybe also life-wise. But also he’s Justin Bieber. He’s above that conventional wisdom, simply by virtue of his access to private aircrafts. He’s not bound to this Earth or any particular environs. He’s not tethered to this or that clime,” Kenzie Bryant writes in her piece for Vanity Fair.
Still, fans probably want to know if Katy Perry’s comment has something to do with his decision to cut his hair. At the moment, Justin Bieber still hasn’t said a thing.
