A good amount of teasers for “Killing Eve” season 2 finale are out, and it all seems to foreshadow the titular character, played by Sandra Oh, ending up in grave danger. However, it appears that Villanelle (Jodie Comer) could end up in a much worse situation than they anticipated.
“Killing Eve” season 2 finale picks up from where the penultimate episode ended. Villanelle, disguised as Billie, agreeing to go with Aaron Peel (Henry Lloyd-Hughes) in Rome. Thanks to an exclusive cold open sneak peek from Refinery29, it is revealed that the next installment would open with Villanelle possibly making a huge discovery.
The psychopathic assassin wanders around Aaron’s palace-like mansion and finds a workstation in the opening of “Killing Eve” season 2. In it, Villanelle sees a stack of digital folders labeled with people’s names and seem to only contain videos of their stay in Aaron’s estate.
Not surprisingly, Villanelle finds a folder named after Billie with several video files of her during her stay in Rome. Then she opens another folder labeled Matilda. She opens the last video saved in it where a mystery woman is seen sleeping. There is a mix of confusion and slight terrifying look on Villanelle’s face — could Matilda be Aaron’s last specimen before Billie and would this mean a fatal danger awaits in the “Killing Eve” season 2 finale?
Meanwhile, the official promo video for “Killing Eve” season 2 episode 8 is also released, and it offers more preview on Eve’s next adventures. It starts with Hugo (Edward Bluemel) playfully offering Eve a coffee that is likely happening on the day after they slept together. But the next scenes were nothing but scary and intense.
At one point, fans can see that Eve eventually follows Villanelle in Rome in “Killing Eve” season 2 episode 8. However, Eve later hysterically asks herself why did she even come to that city.
A confrontation between these women will happen with Villanelle slapping Eve. But later in the trailer, both of them seem to be caught in separate dangerous situations. Eve appears to be trapped in a room while Villanelle is being slammed to the wall by an unidentified man. The “Killing Eve” season 2 finale will be released on Sunday, May 26, at 9 p.m. on BBC America.
