RAMSEY, N.J., March 10, 2016 -- Addressing the demand to produce professional booklets in-line and ready to box, Konica Minolta Business Solutions, U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta) is pleased to announce the availability of the new SD-513 Saddle-Stitch Finisher, with options for a square folding, creasing and trimming. The combination of producing professional, full bleed, 3-side trimmed, square folded booklets, makes the SD-513 Finisher the ideal solution for commercial printers and CRDs.
Create thick booklets with inline speed:
• Saddle-stitch booklets up to 140 pages (35 sheets) with smooth inline finishing
• Accepts a wide range of paper sizes
• Handles weights from 50 gsm to 300 gsm
• Two or four position stitching
• Multi-centerfold and multi-trifold capability
• Top exit tray for easy access
A single solution for higher productivity:
With optional FD-504 square folder, CR-101 Creaser and TU-503 Slitter, the SD-513 system provides full-bleed saddle-stitched output, face-trimmed and ready to box – no need to go to the bindery.
• TU-503 Slitter Option – Slits the top and bottom of each sheet individually and with the combination of the standard face trim provides full-bleed, 3-side trimmed booklets.
• FD-504 Square Fold Option– Creates a square spine so the books lie flat.
• CR-101 Creaser Option – Creases cover sheet to prevent toner cracking.
The SD-513 is compatible with the following bizhub® PRESS models: C1100, C1085, C1070, C1070P, C71hc, C1060, 2250P, 1250, 1250P and 1052. Both SD-513 and SD-513/F are necessary to make a complete SD-513.
"Setting new standards in finishing quality and productivity, the professional SD-513 finisher, engineered by Konica Minolta, can produce an outstanding wide range of booklets with no need for off-line finishing or outside service," says Kevin Kern, senior vice president, Marketing, Konica Minolta Business Solutions, U.S.A., Inc.
