SAN DIEGO, Dec. 13, 2016 -- Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:KTOS), a leading National Security Solutions provider, announced today that Kevin Walden has been appointed as Chief Information Officer of the Company. Mr. Walden has been serving as acting Chief Information Officer since earlier this year. In his capacity as CIO, Mr. Walden will be responsible for all information technology of the Company, including information security, information compliance and data communications. Mr. Walden is located with other Kratos Corporate Officers at the Company headquarters in San Diego, CA.
Mr. Walden has over 30 years of experience in the Information Technology field, including the last twelve years working in various capacities at Kratos. Since 2008, Mr. Walden has held the position of Director of Information Compliance and Enterprise Applications. During his lengthy tenure with Kratos, Mr. Walden has gained in-depth knowledge of the Company’s business and operations, and has worked closely with Corporate personnel and each of Kratos’ business units to drive business intelligence initiatives, develop and maintain information systems controls and strengthen the Kratos information technology organization.
Prior to Kratos, Mr. Walden was the Chief Technology Officer of defense contractor High Technology Solutions, Inc., which was acquired by Kratos in 2004. Prior to entering the commercial business IT market, Mr. Walden served six years in the U.S. Navy.
