The family of Virginia Giuffre, one of Jeffrey Epstein's most prominent accusers, is calling on Britain's King Charles III to meet with sexual abuse survivors during his upcoming state visit to the United States. In a statement shared with major news outlets, Sky and Amanda Roberts emphasized that the royal trip — scheduled from April 27 to 30 — falls just two days after the one-year anniversary of their sister's death by suicide.
"We strongly urge King Charles to meet with us and survivors and hear what we have to say," the Roberts family said, also expressing gratitude toward the king for taking action against his younger brother, Prince Andrew, following Giuffre's allegations.
Virginia Giuffre had accused the late financier Jeffrey Epstein of trafficking her to Prince Andrew, now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, when she was just 17 years old. The Duke of York has consistently denied the allegations and reached a private out-of-court settlement with Giuffre in 2022 without admitting any wrongdoing. He has also stated he has no recollection of ever meeting her.
King Charles previously responded to the mounting controversy by stripping his brother of military titles, royal patronages, and the use of his prince title. More recently, Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office, with allegations that he passed confidential documents to Epstein — charges he also denies.
The Roberts family hopes a direct meeting with the king could spark meaningful action from the British government against those connected to Epstein's network of abuse. Buckingham Palace has not responded to the latest request but has previously stated that the royal family's deepest sympathies remain with all victims and survivors.
Charles and Queen Camilla's U.S. visit is also intended to strengthen British-American diplomatic relations amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.
