SAN DIEGO, March 07, 2016 -- Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:KTOS), a leading National Security Solutions provider, today announced that it was awarded a contract for the sale of 15 TT&C integrated baseband modems by the space agency of a large South Asian country. Developed by RT Logic, a Kratos company, the TT&C modems will be used in ongoing operations to support existing and new satellites.
The modem was selected in part because of its modular chassis design, which makes it easily scalable to evolving requirements. Additionally, its ability to support two satellites simultaneously while maintaining peak performance reduces ground station footprints and operational expenses. It is field repairable, enabling operators and maintainers to service the modem using commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) components.
Kratos representatives will showcase their ground segment solutions in booth #1117 at the Satellite 2016 exhibition, March 7-10, at the Gaylord National in National Harbor, Maryland.
