Krispy Kreme Kicks Off Football Season with Dr Pepper-Inspired Doughnut Collection and Classic Flavors
Earlier this month, Krispy Kreme and Dr Pepper launched the Krispy Kreme x Dr Pepper Kickoff Collection, a celebration of the joyous start of football season with three new doughnuts that will surely excite you.
The Dr. Pepper Kickoff Doughnut is a classic glazed doughnut topped with Dr. Pepper-flavored frosting, burgundy sprinkles, and a white chocolate Dr. Pepper logo, capturing the essence of the popular soda. The Buttercreme Goals Doughnut features a glazed base dipped in green icing, covered in rainbow sprinkles, and topped with a yellow buttercreme-flavored goalpost. The Kreme-Filled Football Doughnut completes the collection, decorated like a football, filled with white cream, and then dipped in chocolate icing.
The football-themed collection is available in shops for pick-up and delivery, and a half-dozen boxes are also available at select retailers.
Krispy Kreme has had a summer filled with celebrations. In July, the chain marked 87 years in business, honoring the milestone on July 12 by offering customers a dozen glazed doughnuts for just 87 cents. This commemorates the 87 years since founder Vernon Rudolph began selling doughnuts in grocery stores in 1937.
