KEMP, Texas, April 13, 2018 -- Industrial lighting expert, Larson Electronics LLC, released an explosion proof LED headlight that features two, high-intensity CREE LED emitters with up to 16 hours of light. This multi-function headlight is ideal for public works, law enforcement, hardware, automotive and other consumer applications.
The EXP-LED-HL-HC-MX2 is a strapless LED headlight that produces 160 lumens of intense illumination for up to 16 hours via three AAA batteries. The two CREE LEDs offer five modes of illumination, making this headlight functional for a variety of purposes. This headlight provides a full powered spotlight configuration that produces 115 lumens with a 5-hour runtime, a half power spotlight producing 60 lumens with a 16-hour runtime, a full power spotlight producing 120 lumens with a 5.25-hour runtime, a half power spotlight producing 60 lumens with a 3.5-hour runtime, and a spot/flood combination configuration that offers 160 lumens and a 3.5 runtime. The operation modes can be easily chosen, even while wearing gloves, with the use of two rubber dome push button switches.
The EXP-LED-HL-HC-MX2 explosion proof headlight has a clip mounting system with an adhesive bracket for easy mounting to a user provided helmet, rather than a strap which can break or slip off. The clip is constructed of stainless steel and allows operators to remote the LED light by simply pulling the light out of the mount. The housing protecting the CREE LEDs is built from impact resistant engineered polymer, drop tested from 2 meters. A polycarbonate lens with scratch resistant coating and an IPX7 waterproof rating to 1 meter keeps the LED illumination shining clear.
“Traditional hard hat headlights with straps are prone to breaking, tearing, snagging and absorbing toxic chemicals, posing a hazard during operation,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics LLC. “The EXP-LED-HL-HC-MX2 eliminates these potential hazards by foregoing a strap and using a secure stainless-steel bracket instead, providing a more reliable and safe headlight option.”
