CFTC commitment of traders report was released on Friday (29th June) and cover positions up to Tuesday (26th June). COT report is not a complete presenter of entire market positions; however, it represents a good chunk of institutional traders, to have a feel of what expected by the big players.

- Gold – Net position long and decreasing
Long positions declined for a second consecutive week. The net long positions got decreased by 19,840 contracts to +76.7K contracts.
- Copper – Net position long and decreasing
Long positions declined for the second consecutive week. The net longs declined by 22,266 contracts to +34K contracts.
- Silver – Net position long and decreasing
The long positions declined for the second consecutive week and by 6,681 contracts to +34.2K contracts.
- WTI Crude – Net position long and increasing
Speculators increased long positions last week, and by 44,144 contracts, which brought the net positions to +625.1K contracts.
- Natural gas – Net position short and increasing
Short positions rose last week and by 17,693 contracts that pushed the net position to -66.9K contracts.
