CFTC commitment of traders report was released on Friday (8th June) and cover positions up to Tuesday (5th June). COT report is not a complete presenter of entire market positions; however, it represents a good chunk of institutional traders, to have a feel of what expected by the big players.

- Gold – Net position long and decreasing
Long positions declined last week. The net long positions got decreased by 3,174 contracts to +111.4K contracts.
- Copper – Net position long and increasing
Long positions rose for the fourth consecutive week. The net longs rose by 10,107 contracts to +47.7K contracts.
- Silver – Net position long and increasing
The long positions rose for a second straight week and by 1,981 contracts to +19.4K contracts.
- WTI Crude – Net position long and decreasing
Speculators reduced long positions for a seventh consecutive week and by 24,252 contracts, which brought the net positions to +583.6K contracts.
- Natural gas – Net position short and decreasing
Short positions declined for a fourth consecutive week and by 2,749 contracts that pushed the net position to -59.4K contracts.
