CFTC commitment of traders report was released on Monday (13th November) and cover positions up to Tuesday (7th November). COT report is not a complete presenter of entire market positions; however, it represents a good chunk of institutional traders, to have a feel of what is being expected by the big players.

- Gold – Net position long and increasing
Long positions rose for a second straight week. The net long position increased by 2,695 contracts to +195.8K contracts.
- Copper – Net position long and decreasing
Long positions declined for the second consecutive week. The net longs decreased by 5,018 contracts to +42.6K contracts.
- Silver – Net position long and increasing
Long positions rose last week and this time by 8,750 contracts to +68.9K contracts.
- WTI Crude – Net position long and increasing
Speculators increased long positions for a fourth consecutive week and by 42,257 contracts, which brought the net positions to +545.2K contracts.
- Natural gas – Net position short and decreasing
Short positions declined for the first time in three weeks and by 16,691 contracts that pushed the net position to -85.4K contracts.
