NetEnt is one of the leading names in the mobile casino gaming space, and they’ve recently made the news with an innovative human resources drive that could explain a lot of their business success.
With some of the most played games worldwide, as reported on by App Casinos, they enjoy success in a highly competitive industry, and with their latest internal innovation they’ve demonstrated the importance of motivating staff to achieve business objectives.
The brand has launched The Challenge by NetEnt, a television-style web series that looks to engage and motivate their 900 employees, who are stationed at seven different offices around the world.
In one of the most global team-building efforts seen within the casino industry, those employees will be working together to remotely assist four NetEnt team members as they look to climb one of Europe’s tallest mountains.
The series is already live, with the first and second episodes having already aired at all NetEnt locations as of Monday May 8 and further episodes will continue to be broadcast internally at a standard time of midday CET, every Monday for the rest of the series.
Staff, and also those with an external interest in the project, will also be able to keep an eye on the episodes online and through NetEnt’s various social media accounts.
While the series has already began broadcasting, the project itself has been months in the making. It focuses primarily on the four team members that will be attempting the ascent, but draws heavily on the contributions of the other global staff, who have been working on a variety of missions associated with the project for the last three months.
Naturally, where there is an opportunity for morale-boosting, there is an opportunity for good publicity too, and NetEnt acknowledges that they hope that the series will not only have the desired internal effect, but will also enhance their reputation further in terms of being an innovator and creative force of the technology sector, not to mention becoming one of the very best places to work for individuals within the industry.
In line with this, NetEnt is promoting its own internal value of ‘Better Mondays’. Even the happiest employees can struggle to get back into the swing of things following a weekend, but NetEnt aims to make its employees just as happy and motivated on Mondays as on any other day of the week, if not more so.
Speaking on the initiative, Per Eriksson, NetEnt CEO, said: “We are climbing the mountain to highlight and pay tribute to the metaphorical peaks that NetEnter’s scale every day. With The Challenge, we have created something completely new to tell our story as part of our strive to attract and retain the most talented and passionate individuals.
“We take great pride in all we do. We want to attract people who like to influence their work, the product and their life. To work at NetEnt, you need to thrive in a fast-paced environment in an ever-changing field; to embrace opportunities to grow and to face challenges.”
