Yonhap reported that 17 of the 69 counties nationwide designated as population-declining regions are running the pilot, as President Lee Jae Myung visited North Gyeongsang Province Saturday to review it.

The program provides residents with 150,000 won ($112) a month in gift vouchers, Yonhap reported.

Lee’s social media post named Yeongyang and Cheongsong, two counties in the province, and conveyed his greetings to residents there. Yonhap described the visit as unannounced.
